I followed the suggestions of others and did not trim the cowling untill the engine and spinner were fitted. I would reccomend this to others. My scribe lines were just a tad long. With the spinner in place I can see exactly how much to trim, and where. Also, even a minute misallignment is easy to spot. Just a slight movement places the cowling an 1/8" higher or lower than the spinner. I still have a little sanding and adjustment left. I'm glad I can trim the aft end of the cowling and not the spinner and bulkhead.

We need pictures Mark! I'm feeling a need for construction pictures!

Thanks for the report. I have done everything I can to prepare the canopy, and am in a holding pattern awaiting engine mount. I'll let you know how it goes in a few weeks.
