Hi All,
Today, RV-14A tail number N861FM took to the skies for the first time. It flew beautifully! Solid as a rock, flew straight ahead with no turning tendencies, and was FAST even without wheel pants! The only squawks were a canopy open alarm (fixed after the flight), a very small oil leak (literally just a few drops) from the oil return line on my number 1 cylinder (now tightened), and my pitch trim which seems to be a little twitchy but should be easily corrected with different gain settings.
7 years and 9 months slow-building (started October 2016, on weekends only) and 3108 labor hours. Worth it!!
