What location are folks putting the firewall pass thru on the firewall for wires and such. I bought the firewall pass thru kit from safe air 1 and looking to go ahead and install it..but was for looking for some ideas as to the best location.
thanks in advance

Well, it will all depend on how many wires will need to go on the other side of the FW. In most cases, there is a need for two passes, one on each side towards the upper part of the FW somewhat close to the engine mount point to the FW. Just try to think ahead before you drill those holes. Will you be able to pull the battery out, will it interfere with mags/oil filter or be in the way of oil cooler, will the wires be suspended in the air for some distance before entering the FW, things in that nature.

Good luck

Two locations...

...one each above the upper engine mounts will allow you to run the multiple EGT/CHT wires along the engine mount to each side of the engine.

Another lower location near your master and starter contactor area should allow for power type wiring.

All other wires passing through should be able to use one of the three locations.

If you want to keep P-lead wires separate, an upper central location can be used.
