I recieved my FWF kit and have been going thru it bit by bit. I am getting ready to mount the carb and was trying to figure out the bracket Vans sent. Looks like it has to go between the sump and the carb to fit. My next door hangar mate came buy and told me that he got several pages of printed instructions with his kit. All I got was 4 or 5 sheets of plans and none address the carb mounting. Am I missing something?

Bracket (powder-coated one, I presume you are talking about), goes between the carb/throttle body and the sump with a gasket on either side. Whether your cables will fit the bracket is another question entirely. I had to modify my bracket somewhat to get the cable fit that I wanted.

Is it possible your friend is just referring to the original Vans instruction set? There is in fact about four or five pp there addressing f'wall fwd.

Instructions

I emailed Vans and asked about instructions and yep they email back a copy. Don't know why they were not in the orginal FWF kit.
