Trying to guestimate time to schedule wt & balance and DAR inspection. How much time did it take those of you flying to do the farewall Forward kit and cowling?
I had 110 hours in the firewall forward kit, but my cowl was already done. I'm guesstimating that is 20 hours max, but it should go faster if you choose to do the cowl after the engine is hung.
Larry's right, the engine takes some time. Unlike most, you have to take the Rotax apart and put it back together in order to get the cooling shroud over the engine. Write things down or take pictures. Its easy to get overwhelmed.
