I am trying to figure out how to determine what Service Intruction has been released to supercede an old one at Lycoming. Specifically I was trying to find Service Instruction 1129A (Accessory Drive Belt Tension) and it is not listed in the Service Instruction library (http://www.lycoming.textron.com/support/publications/service-instructions/index.html). There is not another one with a similar name, so how does one find a newer one that replaced this one?

Mark,
You can find what service publications are still valid and what the most current revision of that document is [SI 1129B in your case] in SSP 210 SERVICE BULLETINS, INSTRUCTIONS AND LETTERS INDEX. [SSP stands for Supplemental Service Publications] This document allows you to look up a document alphabetically, numerically or by engine model. The PDF search feature is very handy.
I will email you a copy of SI 1129B & SSP 210

Charlie

PS To check on what the latest revision of any Operators Manual, Overhaul Manual or Parts Catalog is, refer to SL L114AU, available at

http://www.lycoming.textron.com/support/publications/service-letters/pdfs/SL114AU.pdf

and it's supplement

Mark,
Lycoming does not post ALL their tech documents online. Mostly, they post documents which are new, popular or recently updated. SI 1129 was last updated in May of 2000. Please check your PMs.

Mark,
My bad. I see that SSP 112 has superceded SSP 210 [as of April 2012]
