I just finished my phase 1 testing and will be flying my plane for up to a year before I have it painted. Fiberglass parts have been sanded and top coated with neat epoxy.

I want to provide the fiberglass with some short term protection from ultraviolet rays. Understanding that any paint I put on them will be sanded off by the painter I am looking for a quick and easy topcoat. Primer gray will suffice.

Looking for some recommendations. Will the spray cans from the local auto supply store provide UV protection? I need to paint my cowl, skirt, pants and spinner.

Suggestion?

Tks,
Mike

Smooth Prime is a UV blocker.

Don't you have to seal Smooth Prime with a 2k epoxy primer? I thought about going this route too because you can roll it on but then I read it needed to be sealed. The small pieces wouldn't be a problem but I don't have anywhere that I can spray the cabin of the -10.
