is the Vans fc-10 fuel monitor system recommended by RV owners and is the installation complex?

I can neither recommend it, or recommend against it, but it would be a relatively simple installation.

The fuel flow sender would be mounted in a convenient place, the prefabricated wiring harness would be run, and it looks like it mounts in a standard instrument hole. You can certainly fly without a fuel computer, but the benefits of one outweigh the small $$ outlay IMHO.

My only caution would be to ask: What else are you planning in your panel?

If you are going to install most any kind of EMS or EFIS, they will have their own fuel flow computers installed, and you don't want to double up if you can avoid it.
