I'm getting ready to make the F-996B Spacers shown on DWG 38. I always get confused on the thickness of things and where to find the part. Can anyone tell if I found the correct part? Is "0.125 2024-T3" the same as "AS3-125x1.5X5.063"?

You are correct. One way to check the material is to use the Part Index in Section 4 of your Construction Manual.

Yes, 2024-T3 and AS3 are the same, HOWEVER, the piece you show is the wrong one. I found the materials for F966B in paper bag 1982-1. There are two pieces .125 thick and only need to be trimmed a touch off one end.

The piece in your picture looks like the material for F711E on dwg 27A.

** If anybody wants a spreadsheet of materials in the 9A fuse and which piece it makes, cross referenced with subkit location, give me a yell.

Holey moley!! Thanks Alan! I found the parts just where you said they would be. I keep forgetting that sometimes there are uncut parts in the bags. I owe you a beer at Oshkosh!
