I'm installing the nut plates on the F-916 seat ribs. Two questions - Two of the modified ribs will have only 2 nutplates, correct? (drawing shows 3 on all ribs), and will the #8 screw hole where the nutplates are get dimpled?

Thanks.

Tom all F-916 ribs get 3 nutplates. Drawing 22 shows the F-916 seat rib detail. The screws used on the floor are AN515-8R8 which I believe are a button head screw. So they would not get dimpled.

All of the ribs get the same number of nutplates. I went ahead and modified 4 of the seat ribs instead of just the 2 in order to make installing the controls much easier.

Be sure to use a tap on the nutplates on the outermost ribs. Getting the screws in there up close to the side skins is a real bear when you put on the seat pans.

Thanks

Well - I had tossed those little pieces away that I cut out of the ribs - now it makes sense... just fabricated new ones
