I did such a nice job curving these ribs, per someone else's post on this site. However, I think I blew it when I drilled them to the floor skins. I did not leave 1/32" of the rib exposed outside the edge of the floor skin.

I'm thinking, simply due to the 1/32" measurement, that an external skin is supposed to fit in there, with that skin and the rib forming a nice continuous flush exterior. Is that correct?

Anyone have a suggestion for saving these pieces before I go ahead and order two more ribs?

Don't order more. That clearance is there for the seat/floors to make them easier to get in and out and without scratching the side skins. Just take a file to the edge of them floors and all will be great.
