EZ-COWL has an alternative use that I almost forgot about - to re-position the intakes (cooling & induction), if a plenum & round cooling inlets are contemplated and/or a new induction inlet is desired.
The attached pics from the Wayback Machine (circa 2000) show its use in re-making the cowl inlets for my Rocket.
Pretty self explanatory - Use of the tool for this purpose allows precise positioning of these inlets without the need for the attending part to be in place to "locate" them. Very convenient when trying to align the plenum inlets to the cowling rings for sealing the joint. Same for induction inlet.
The second pic shows the engine simulation jig that allowed the cowling mods to be done on a "rotisserie" for convenience.
YMMV - But this can be helpful if needed.
