I ordered a replacement VS rear spar doubler from Van's as I thought I'd go without the lightening holes. Well Van's cuts the lightening holes for you now so that's ok. Problem now is there is an extra 1/8th hole in the doubler just above the second lightening hole from the bottom that's not on the plans. It seems to line up with where the bolts attach the rear spar to the fuse. Is this just an extra that you countersink and flush rivet (flush side against the fuse bulkhead or is it used later? I've looked on builder websites and no one has that extra hole...

extra hole

Thanks for the reply.
I searched it in the forums but didn't find that thread.
Here's what Gus at Van's said this am:
"Nothing needs to be done. The hole can be drilled and used to cleco the VS to the fuse later on for temporary alignment before the bolt holes are drilled."
