Has anyone had any problems with styrene/solvents releasing from the Vans pre-preg cowl and causing the paint to release or blister? A fiberglass "friend" said to have it soda blasted to release any solvents before priming....Over kill ? or just those fiberglass guys talking after breathing too much solvent ?
Any comments will be appreciated.

Your friend is thinking polyester or vinylester. Epoxy doesn't contain styrenes. It does release small amounts of other compounds as it cures, to which some people are allergic.

Clean thoroughly

Clean with a stiff plastic brush and soap and water. Then give a good wipe down with acetone. Clean again with S and W.

This will get most of the **** out of the pin holes.

As noted there are no styrenes in epoxy glass. It doesn't vent off anything.
