I just discovered that one of the engine mount tubes is touching the rubber sleeve that attaches the intake manifold to the engine. See Pictures. Anyone ever have this condition? Need suggestions for a solution. Thanks

Looks like this is on a tri-gear model engine mount, is that correct?
If so, you have the wrong model engine for an "A" model (not one of the engines recommended by Van's for A models). Even if you get the engine positioned so that the induction tube clears, you would not be able to fit the aft positioned carb. with an airbox (gear leg interference).
You can modify the engine to the proper model with what is referred to as a straight riser sump and induction tubes. This will position the carb. (and induction tubes) further fwd. I think the sump and tubes can be purchased for about $600 from any of the common engine suppliers.
