Almost finished building. My question is where do you run the engine mounted fuel pump vent line. I have been told that running it through the bottom of the firewall to cowling flange is the way to go but that seems really close to the exhaust pipes?
Any suggestions would be very welcome. Incidentally I have a fuel injected O320 with a boost pump on the cockpit floor feeding to the Lycombing engine mounted pump.
Thanks
Nigel

This is how I did mine

I mounted this aluminum tube as shown. Connected another AN fitting and tube to the fuel pump and connected the two with a fuel line rubber hose (the engine moves of course, thus no rigid line). Pretty far away from the exhaust and doesn't interfere with the cowling going on or coming off..

I have an ECI IO-360, if it matters.

Move it over to the left, away from the exhaust. Mine is closer to the left gear leg than it is to the exhaust.

Should your pump leak, it should be far enough way as to not be an issue.
