Okay, just took my engine out of its 'long-term' preservation bag, and I want to protect my cylinders for the next six months or so until its first start. I would like to use the oil/VpCI-326 mixture recommended by Lycoming, but I have tried two garden sprayers set on the lowest (ie mist) setting. Both dribble oil. No misting or even spraying. If I open the tip up, it flows oil. Here's what I've read here:

"Install the last quart of preservation oil into the garden sprayer, set the sprayer nozzle on mist, pump it up and fog the cylinders through the spark plug holes."

What am I doing wrong?

Second question: if I can't get the sprayer to work, would OMC (marine) fogging oil be okay to use?

Solution is dilution

Thanks to Mahlon Russell for replying to an email I sent him. He suggested diluting the oil with kerosene. That solved the problem.
