Just about to drill the firewall for the control cables.

Van's gives dimensions but after having a huge problem with the FWF kit - I believe their idea of an IO-360 is the 200h.p. angle valve motor, I need some clarification.

We have a parallel valve 180h.p. motor with the Silverhawk Experimental fuel injection.

This seems to be the same layout as a Marvel carb, so do we go with the carb locations or injected locations ?

I have trawled Dan's site but he has left throttle and 200h.p.

Arrange everything before you drill

Hi,

We are at the same stage at the moment. I think the best way of dealing with this is to hang the engine before you mount anything on the firewall. We had allready mounted the battery tray and the relays but it gives you a lot more freedom to wait with this until you have made a list of everything that has a place on the firewall. The bowden cables are important issues of course, especially the one for the prop (if you have C/S), because this one has to make an angle. The one for the throttle is easy: just pull a straight line from manifold to firewall and drill the hole. Just arrange everything with tape untill you are satisfied and than start drilling, better than to follow the plans blindly. We have two Fadec computers to find a spot for, so this further complicates things, see http://websites.expercraft.com/PHVII/index.php?q=log_entry&log_id=7854

good luck,
