I have seen that one of the key indicators of a properly broken in engine is when oil consumption stabilizes. I have connected the AntiSplat Aero Air/Oil Separator and I'm wondering how this "recycling" of oil is going to impact the measure of oil consumption? Are there are other measures or indicators that can be used? What have others done in a similar circumstances?
 
The "consumption" is not affected by the air oil separator however the amount lost will decrease.

Get stuck into the thing early, keep CHT under control, and the break in will be done in 4-5 hours, or the bulk of it will be.

Dont sweat it.

But do stay above 75% if you can. And apart from the first flight, put the wheel pants and fairings on. The extra speed is cooling air flow!
