Hi All,

I am installing my new replacement forward sump for the Superior Air modification. I need to replace some of the 1/4" X 1" bolts that bolt the sump to the engine.

I am ignorant regarding engine bolts. The thread goes all the way to the bolt head. Are these AN bolts? High strength AN bolts or what??? I believe the instructions call for 100" lbs of torque. (Will double check before torqueing).

Also can you get them from Aircraft Spruce? Or where would you purchase them.

I appreciate your help.

The Lycoming part number is LW25-1.00. You can purchase them through Omaha Airplane Supply 800-228-9400. There may be a minimum quantity, not sure.

STD-1204

My older Lycoming O-360 Parts Manual gave a STD-1204 number and called it a "Bolt 1/4-20, 15/16 long, hex head"

AERO cross references this to a LW-25-0.94.

They are in stock at $1 each here....

They are standard grade 8, 1/4-20 cad. plated bolts, but I would still use the correct engine ones...
