I am modifying and custom fitting the vans fairing and need to trim the edges, I am looking for the minimum edge distance, or if that is even a good idea, more better? What is the mounting hole edge distance that folks used, 1/2 inch or less? thanks, Bret.

I find less is more. I used 3 screws per side and put those screws about 7/16" from center of hole to the edge.

That looks good, do people find the fairing expanding and buckling around the screws in the sun?
