For those -8 flyers out there who where a parachute. What brand and type do you where? Does anyone have any preference between the softie mini vs. the softie wedge for the pilot's seat?

Softie Wedge vs Mini

I have flown with a Wedge for about a dozen years - about 1,000 hours with it on or so. Works great for a reclining position as it gives you more lumbar support. In the upright seating in the RV-8, I think I will like my new Mini better. Not any real lumbar support with the Mini but it doesn't move your rear end as much forward either. I'm getting the Oregon Aero seats so I don't want to have my rear end too far forward. Remember, a good rigger can move things around a bit for you within the container to the best fit. I tried three different rigging set-ups in the Wedge to get the right fit for me. Either way, I think the Paraphenalia chutes are great!

I have a Paraphenalia wedge. 27 years old and never opened in flight.
