I have what appears to be an antenna switch like the KX99A that takes your comm antenna and allows a handheld to use the main comm antenna in the case of an emergency. The handheld is connected via a 1/8" plug.
I have been searching all over for the cable schematics or a source to pick one up. I heard Jim Weir wrote an article 10 years or so ago, but I can not find it on the Kitplanes site.
For the individuals that have one of these, am I "poking the bear" by using it? My radio reception is excellent with the comm radio today and I better off not trying to use it an potentially making what works worse off?
