I am replacing my ELT. The old one was mounted to the baggage compartment sidewalls with rivnuts. Not exactly connected to the "Structure" as required by the instructions.
How have you mounted your ELT to ensure it triggers instead of tearing off in an accident?
I am considering using two longerons in the baggage area as mounting points, perhaps with a plate of .063 or .125 between them. Perhaps there are more elegant ideas out there.
