I've inspected quite a few RVs during the last 25 years. Lately I'm seeing where builders are running ELT antenna cables through bulkheads using snap bushings. ELT antenna leads should never penetrate a bulkhead if it is at all avoidable. In a crash, the bulkhead can very easily cut the lead. Whenever possible, the lead should be run inboard of the bulkhead. It's perfectly OK to tie the lead to the bulkhead, but don't run "through" it.

Thanks Mel,
I hadn't even thought of that.
