Working on the access panel for the elect trim on the left elevator. The nutplates were installed and everything looks great! Is there enough material thickness on the access panel to countersink for the 7 screws and leave the nutplates alone? My worry is I was suppose to have dimpled the holes in the panel as well as the ones that go into the nutplate.....Maybe I could dimple the panel and use the deburring tool for the holes in the center of the nutplate. I've spent several hours getting it right and don't want to screw it up now.
Thanks, Alan

I'd recommend that you just drill out the nutplates and then dimple with your squeezer. The cover would have to be somthing thicker than .050 to machine countersink. Good luck.
