Has anyone experienced a rise in copper in oil analysis USING AeroShell W100 plus?
I am aware of the effects on copper readings with the 15-50 multigrade but I haven’t found anything on the straight grade 100.
My motor (lycoming yio-360-m1b) has about 130 hrs and 4 oil changes, 4 analyses. First two oil changes on straight mineral showed normal copper. When switched to the AD oil, copper readings climbed to the high 30s ppm on the subsequent 2 oil changes.
