After 20 years, today the electric trim would trim nose down but not nose up. I will trouble shoot for loose grounds tomorrow any other ideas? Thanks

Very common if you have an older RC Allen trim relay. The contacts go bad, and the first symptom I always got was that it would work in one direction only. You might check the relay - they have a newer version.

Ditto everything Paul said.

The old RC Allen relays are notorious for crapping out after about 400 hours. That's the problem 95% of the time.
