I think I remember reading a post here that gave a shortcut on the EIS to use when you fill-up the plane with fuel. I can't seem to find it, does anyone know it?

It would be helpful if you let us know which EIS you have? If GRT, press the two outer buttons together.

On an Dynon EMS, the next time you boot it after adding fuel, it will ask how much you added and you can just press "FULL"

For GRT EIS - press the two outside buttons to bring up the set qty page - then press the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons (centre and left) to set the fuel qty to 'MAX Fuel'.
