Ok, so I know most EFIS units (even those with moving map) don't have the Victor airways in their databases, or if they do they don't provide an easy way to program a flight plan the way ATC gives it to you which will then drive your autopilot.

But, this has to be on the radar.

Those of you vendors "in the know" - what time horizon do you forsee having this as a standard feature in your products?

This has become important to many Garmin 480 folks since Garmin announced that they will not be maintaining a decent supply of spare parts for these units...

Cheers,

Bill

The Chelton has Victor Airways and you easily flight plan with them. The moving map will show the Airways or you can declutter them. You create flightplans exactly as ATC gives them to you. Specify the Airway and the system will give you all the fixes that define the airway.
