Just thought I'd post a little efficiency report.

Went form Sacramento to Corvallis Oregon in 2.5 hours. Was burning 7.3 GPH the whole way (60% LOP). Had a mix of 11000 feet and 10k feet..Picked up 12kts at the lower alt.

Seemed like a small headwind at 11k and maybe a small tailwind at 10k, but Groundspeed was about 160kts which is about right for a no wind day.

Anyway, thats 470statute which works out to 25mpg
or driving it would be 517 miles...i.e a road equivilent of 28mpg.

Does the same burn on mogas or 100LL.

I don't know many cars that cruise 170mph at 28mpg!

Oh why did we go to 11k?...Cus we were ovetaking a Cherokee...."RV484H, your crossing the ground at 40 kts over the cherokee..Climb 11000"

"Rv484H has the cherokee in sight...Switching to guns"...:)
