I'm retrofitting a Dynon EDC-10 remote magnetic sensor and OAT probe in our RV-4. The wing tips aren't an option due to strobe power supplies. I'm curious about other fuselage/tail locations folks have used with sucess in the -4...

As far as easy access and easy retrofitting of the magnetometer, you're kind out of options. I mounted mine aft of the bulkhead that is closed off, I think it's 408. You have to take the elevator pushrod out and then get back there to do what you can in mounting it with non-ferrous hardware. It's not fun but quite do-able.
