I'm confused. Again.

Can anyone tell me why the price on the ECI cold-air induction kit is substantially less than that of the cold-air system on the A.E.R.O website? At eci2fly.com, the price of the AE111-2 finned cold air induction kit is way less than the forward facing sump kit (with tubes) on the A.E.R.O. site? I'm not trolling, I just want to understand the difference between these products and which one is a better choice for my (soon to be delivered) engine, and why. The list price for the ECI kit is comparable to the one at AERO, which is an APS product, but the "eci price" is way less.

Also, any recommendations for an engine shop in the Los Angeles area?

Sump

ECI makes there own sump for their own fuel injection system. I bought a Lycoming forward facing sump with tubes and it was about 2K from Aerosport. Lycoming is pretty proud of their stuff.

Thanks Aden.

That would make plenty of sense. I wonder if there's a throttle body adapter. Probably not, it seems like the concept of a tuned intake falls apart as soon as you change the length of anything downstream of the throttle body.
