I just completed the survey. Thanks for the thread.

I don't understand the FAA foot dragging on this issue other than trying to maintain their kingdom. Essentially I think that if one is healthy enough to ride his motorcycle, drive his car or truck, or better yet drive the Class A motorhome to his airport to fly his 180 HP,FP, flying flivver, then by all means go for it. Hauling people and freight around for most of my flying career I had enough sense to ground myself when I wasn't up to the task. I think if one is intelligent enough to gain his PPL that individual would know enough to do the same.

I plan to fly as long as I can ride.:)
 
Survey questions missing?

The EAA lead in for the survey states that they were looking for:

- to complete a brief survey to better document the amount of hours flown by this segment of the pilot population

Yet in the questions there is nothing about hours flown, just "have you flown using sport pilot privlidges?". It would seem they are missing the point of the survey.
