Stared my new Titan OX-320-A1D1T8 today for the first time. Smooth!

My steam gauge Vans tach read about half of the actual rpm until around 2000 rpm and then went to zero. Tach resumed about half rpm after reducing rpm.

I did not install the resistor on the mag because I read somewhere the Vans gauge sense could read 5-14 volts. The default on the emag is 2 pulses per revolution which is reconfigurable to 1. Seems like I should have had twice the actual rpm instead of half?!

Has anyone successfully used the Vans gauge with e-mags? If so, what is the trick?

No Go Using Vans Tach with E-mag

After communicating with Vans and E-mag Air using the Vans Tach will not work with E-mags. Vans gauge wants to see 4 pulses per revolution and the e-mag can only send 2 per max.

Ordered a T-30 tach, it will monitor both e-mags and warn if one fails.
