We installed a standby alternator on the vacuum pad directly above the factory installed E-MAG . We are not able to access the inboard screw securing the plug to the E-MAG ( alternator is in the way). Removing the alternator is not an option as installing the one nut next to the E-MAG took three hours. My question is, can the E-MAG be rotated in the engine case without effecting the timing or if rotating will require re-timing?
