I'm designing and installing my electrical system, and will have an E-buss. This is an all glass cockpit, and I haven't decided precisely what glass or other items to put on the E-buss (there are some options and trades to look at), but it's possible that it might carry a modest load (more than 6A). That tells me I need to use a relay instead of just running the wire through the switch.

Any recommendations for a good relay of the appropriate size range (or a source)? Seems like the big honkin' "master" relay size is, um, overkill .

Z13/8 architecture recommends a S704-1 from B&C found at: http://www.bandc.biz/search.aspx?find=s704 it's rated at 12V/20A

30 or 40A. Always available and cheap/light enough to keep/carry a spare.

Another option might be to use a double pole single throw switch and split the load between the two sides.
