The instructions say concerning dimpling the E-907 trim spar, "When preparing the parts for riveting, countersink the holes in the top of the E-907 elevator trim spar to receive the dimples in the skin. This will leave a smooth surface on the bottom of the spar flange where the hinge will attach."

I accidentally dimpled the outer 6 holes on the top of the E-907 elevator trim spar, before I remembered that I had read something special about dimpling this part. I was able to flatten the dimples using a flush set very easily, and successfully countersink them. The holes are not enlarged, but perhaps the aluminum has been weakened somewhat.

Should I order a replacement part, or will my fix be adequate?
