If you are one of the Dynon owners using a EMS or FlightDek180 and picking the tachometer input off the P-leads from the mag switch; did you have to vary the resistance from the recommended 30K ohm called out in the manual?

If so what resistor value worked for you?

30K (actually 33K) was not enough for the RV-10's IO-540 and a D120 EMS. Added an additional 47K in series for a total of 80K ohms inline with each leg, still not enough... Still got erratic tach readings although it was better than with 33K. Ended up using 100K resistors in each leg, and bingo... perfect readings!
