After cashing my full payment for the avionics kit, VANs is telling me that it will take them a couple of weeks to ship because they are waiting for the next shipment from Dynon. I was told Dynon is shipping batches of 10 units and VANS ran out of Skyviews!
Contrary to the other shipments, this one will come via FEDEX.

Got an email this mornig telling me my Skybiew has shipped via Fedex. I was told the same thing regarding a 2 week delay due to lack of stock, but now it seems to be all go!

My mistake!

As a result of Dynon's comment, I got an email from Vans clarifying that the batch they are short of is their parts, not Dynon's. The reason is that they prepare batches of several avionics kits in advance and I was the unlucky guy who fell between two of these batches.

Mine came via Fedex in early April and two smaller things were on back-order. These back-ordered parts arrived 2 weeks later without further notice.
