Out of SV Installation, concerning PIN determination.
Long story short:
What comes out from SV in the D37 harness as RX (e.g. PIN 3),
Has to go into the XPDR as TX ( PIN 7).
What comes out from SV in the D37 harness as TX (e.g. PIN 4),
Has to go into the XPDR as RX (PIN 5).

In general you can say:
Output/TX from a component, becomes Input/RX at the other end of the cable.
And vice versa.

Am i right, or wrong!

It is probably pretty easy, but i am confused.....

TX, Input, PIN, Output, PIN, D37,COM, RX, Input, PIN,.........whaaat !!!

Thanks for your "reset"!

Yup - transmit on one device becomes the receive on the other end of the wire. Somebody gotta pitch, and somebody gotta catch.

Page 11-8 of the install manual has a table of the exact wire connections for each serial port just to make it clear:

(SkyView first, transponder second. The manual has the below formatted better)

Serial port 1:
Pin 3 (RX) Brown/Violet to Pin 7 (TX)
Pin 4 (TX) Brown/Orange to Pin 5 (RX)

Serial port 2:
Pin 5 (RX) Yellow/Violet to Pin 7 (TX)
Pin 6 (TX) Yellow/Orange to Pin 5 (RX)

Serial port 3:
Pin 7 (RX) Green/Violet to Pin 7 (TX)
Pin 8 (TX) Green/Orange to Pin 5 (RX)

Serial port 4:
Pin 9 (RX) Blue/Violet to Pin 7 (TX)
Pin 10 (TX) Blue/Orange to Pin 5 (RX)

got it now!

First of all, thanks for your answers!!
Now that i put it aside for the night, got some rest, it appears quite simple to me!
Sometimes you just have to put it aside for a while and look at it another day with a set of *new eyes*!

Actually the manual says it all quite clearly, but i also liked the pitch-catch comparison.

Thanks again for all your help, i continue terminating cables......
