I've started getting spurious high RPM warnings at idle. They disappear very quickly but the RPM shown may be up to 5000 RPM. The actual RPM of the engine doesn't change.

I've tightened the screws attaching the wires to the PMags, no change...

Any ideas?

Did you figure you your problem? I'm having a similar issue with my 5600's but at cruise random readings up to 3000 with no RPM engine change.

Do you have a 5v Zener diode between pins 1 & 6 of the eMags as shown in the attached diagram? These keep the mags from sending a voltage signal to the Dynon EMS that is higher than the EMS likes to see which can cause erratic RPM indications. I had erratic indications until I installed a diode on each mag and have had no issues since.

Also, make sure you have connected ground wires from the EMS to pin 1 of each eMag. Don't rely on just the eMag ground wire to the engine case or firewall. Ground(s) can cause weird issues on low voltage circuits.
