I have already mounted the remote compass for my Dynon D-180 on the forward part of the rear deck, as pictured in some of the posts here. I am not far from mounting the empennage. I am beginning to worry about the remote compass being affected by moisture in that location.

Does anyone have any relevant experience that might help??

I'm not the only one who has wire-tied a plastic bag over it. Easy to do!
