Skyview Autopilot System Electrical Installation Overview
Broken Line Detect resistor (4.7-5.3k Ohm)

My plan is to combine the grounds and switch them to control pilot or co-pilot.
The grounds will be combined for Hat (Skyview trim control), Trigger (PTT Skyiew), Thumb (Skyview Com Flip/Flop), SW3 (AP Disconnect), SW4 (Level).
Question
Since many if not all the control column grip switches share a common ground, what if any effect does the resistor have on the other switches and functions?

The resistor goes between the terminals on your ap disconnect switch, not in series with the ground wire. Properly installed it won't mess with anything else.

I think I understand. Only the servo AP disconnect will sense the resistance.

Dynon,I plan on running all my co-pilot grounds from the co-pilot stick to a panel switch. With the switch open the controls on the co-pilot stick will be disabled. If I install a resistor on each switch how will the Skyview (alerts) respond if this switch is open and there is continuity to ground on the pilot's stick?
