Had my 6a cowling repainted and the painter put a few strips on dynamat Xtreme thermal insulation on the inside of the top and bottom cowling where it had some signs of pealing from heat
He said it is commonly used inside the engine compartment in race cars, etc.
Didnt see any specific info on this site for placing adhesive dynamat on the inside of the cowling, only the firewall?
Is that OK to do?
It is probably about 2 x 1 foot strips
One each for the top and bottom cowling
Im concerned if it would produce smoke or noxious gas with normal operating temps from the engine and exhaust?

thanks
