Why not? On the prepunched kits it seems to make more sense to just go through and drill, deburr, dimple and prime all at once rather than having to touch up primer and dimple the ribs and spars after they are all asembled/riveted.
I have the left wing skeleton all cleco'd and decided to cleco a top skin on to verify the straightness of my ribs (pretty D*#! straight) and ended up asking myself the question above.
