I am nearing the point in the -1 plans where you invert the fuselage and do the initial gear attach. It talks about drilling to size a number of holes on a drill press. My antique drill press appears to have a lot of slop, so I am considering purchasing a new drill press. But, I am also considering taking the parts to a local machine shop to be drilled for dead-on accuracy. Has anyone done this?

I just drilled mine and found it to be easy to get it dead on. I can see a floor standing drill press is a must though. set one end of the gear leg on something so the other end is flat on the drill press table. With the drill press at the slowest speed and some oil in the hole, it worked great.
