Can you purchase a Scotchbrite wheel attachment for a Dremel rotary tool? If so, which retailers have them? I'm looking for one that is the same as the one I have in my bench top grinder, just smaller.

Scotchbrite for dremel

Google it and a bunch come up on that auction site that a lot of people use.
The Qlock scotchbrite disks for your die grinder area great also.

It is a standard Dremel accesory.

Our local Ace and Home Depot have them.

The standard Dremel wheel is not the same. It's fragile and barely lasts enough to do a single rib, not to mention that it starts unraveling and marking where you don't intend. I, too, would like to see a dense Scotch-brite wheel for my Dremel.

Are we talking about using one of these with a 1/4" collet, and then using one of these two wheels by 3M?

Or this mandrel with this bigger 2" wheel?

Browsing around, seems like the harder part is the 1/4" collet, but seems like it can be worked out for a number of models.

Sorry, Gil, I was commenting on the Dremel Scotch-brite wheel, not the grinding wheels. I like the #500, but follow it up with a scotch-brite pad for final polishing.
