Just a follow up. I received the frontend kit and finished fabricating the device and tested it today. I am very impressed. I have a lot of hours on the c frame dimpler, but am pleased to say that as of today, it is retired! The DRDT2 really is amazing! No noise, no tired arm from hammering, and very easy to get consistent excellent dimples! For those considering tools to get, my recommendation is to put this on your list and forget the c frame. If you opt to get the front end kit and build it yourself, it is even more economical, kit was 145.00, metal was 45.00 and welding supplies probably 5 dollars. Very Impressed!!!

...and we legacy DRDT-1 builders are happy too! I made this unit from donated steel and stuff I sold on ebay to pay for the front end kit! It stands me about $12!

I am proud to say that I have never used a "smash" dimpler!
