I bought the RV tool kit from ISHAM for the RV8 quickbuild. The kit included the DRDT dimpling tool. I am going to build the platform for the DRDT. My question is how wide should I make it? In the description of how to build the platform they leave this deminsion up to the builder. I have plenty of room. I dont want to make the platform to small but also dont want to go overboard on the width either. Thanks for any reply's;)

Would recommend you make 2 separate platforms that go on each side of the DRDT. That way you can move them wherever they are most needed to support the piece your dimpling. Only very rarely are they needed right around the dimpler itself.

The only time I felt that I needed much of a platform was with the wing skins, and it was easier to just have a helper support the skins for the small amount of time it took to dimple them. That said, I did have the quickbuild, so not a lot of large skin pieces left to do. And I had a willing helper most of the time.
